WELCOME TO DAY CAMP!!!

Medical Forms:  IF YOUR MEDICAL FORM IS NOT ON FILE ON MONDAY YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO DROP YOUR CHILD OFF.  You must park and proceed to the Sheriff's office to complete these forms.  Check out: FORMS NEEDED to make sure you're not one who needs to get a form in.

Day Camp Hours:  Stations begin for the cub scouts at 9 a.m. with the last activity station ending at 3:25 p.m.

Camp opens for drop-offs at 8:30 and closes for pick-ups at 3:45.  Camp is closed and vacated at 3:45 p.m. ALL CHILDREN MUST BE OFF THE PREMISES BY 3:45 p.m.

Volunteers:  Volunteers must show up in time to check in, find your unit table, bring your unit box down to the sports field and be ON the sports field by 8:30 to begin checking in your kids as they arrive.

Jr. Helpers:  Must arrive no later than 8:30 to begin escorting the cubs to their units.

Pickup/Drop Off Procedures:  THE ENTIRE PICKUP/DROP OFF process has been restructured.  Even the way we enter the parking lot will be different this year.  Coupons will be used for Pickup.  Make SURE you've thoroughly read: PICKUP/DROP CHANGES and you've printed out and filled out the Pickup Coupons.pdf

Absences:  If your child is sick or for any other reason cannot attend day camp you MUST inform your unit leader before he/she leaves in the morning for daycamp OR call 925-866-1111 and leave a message.   If not, we will be calling you at 9:30 assuming your child is lost. Phones:  There is NO cell service or telephone service at camp.  Communication will have to be done outside of camp hours or in person at camp.  For emergencies only you may call 925-866-1111.  We will send someone out of camp within cell phone range to pickup these messages on an hourly basis.  Messages ONLY of an urgent nature will be responded to.  All other messages we will push back until after camp.

Barbeque:  We will have a barbeque on the last day of camp. This barbeque is free to all volunteers, camp staff, and campers. However, we would like you to invite your family and friends at a cost of $7.00 each. Please download the Barbeque Invitation form and complete it no later than Monday morning of camp. We will have your tickets waiting for you at the Sheriff's office (HQ) for all of your guests. Those who are NOT wearing camp shirts will be asked for a ticket on the day of the barbeque. Photos:  We have a photographer who will be taking photos throughout the camp and posting them daily on the Meridian website. Please stay tuned for more information. We will have an order form for you to complete to order a CD of these photos for a small donation to Friends of Scouting.  These DVD's will be formatted as a slide show you can play on your DVD player, complete with background music.  It's A MUST For your memorabilia collection!
